I am currently trying to wean my 14 month old twin boys from their bottle. Some days they seem to cooperate and others not so much. I've got them down to two bottles a day, morning and bedtime. I'm about to make that once a day. They drink from sippy cups just fine but I can tell that some days they would much rather have their bottle than a cup even if I put ice water in their bottle and warm milk in their cup.
How long did it take you to wean your kid off their bottle completely. I'm going on two months now! I'm just so ready to be done with bottles!
I can't really comment as I'm not at the weaning from bottle stage. Can anyone else comment?
Do you "give in" and give them their bottle if they make enough fuss? Or are you strong and consistent and don't give it to them? My gut instinct tells me consistency is key. It'd be better for them than giving in and allowing the bottle, I think that will just confuse them.
