I keep reading about following the 4 day wait rule when weaning your baby but we never have and so far nothing we have tried has affected Evan badly.

Do you follow it when introducing new foods to your little ones?

I was told to wait 2 days. Mostly I waited 2 days but not always. Kirsty hasn't had any issues thankfully

we just went all in, Evan was so enthusiastic with his food I just went with it but I can see why they tell you to wait a few days in between each food

Yes, we did. We would only introduce one new food a week.

But my family has a history of severe food allergies. My brother almost died several times due to reactions to a food he had eaten so we were extra cautious when introducing food to Olivia.

Eek!! I bet that made you a little hesitant in the weaning process!!

Karen, Evan sounds like he is doing so brilliantly with his food, he's such a trooper!

There's a lot of conflicting statements in the first link you posted huh? In the UK it seems to be common to be given strawbs under 1 yr, but in the US they recommend waiting until baby is 2 yrs old.

It does however say to avoid them if your baby has asthma or eczema as it can worsen the symptoms. I had no idea they were deemed as a fruit which can cause the most allergies!! I didn't know until someone commented on my blog post about Kirsty having one for lunch. Seeing she was fine with it, I'll probably keep using them TBH, unless I see a reaction.
