My little girl has weaned within the past week and now seems to have diarrhea. Could this be something from getting off of breastmilk? It's weird because I remember having the opposite problem (too hard of stools) with my older daughter when she weaned. I'm just trying to figure out it that's what this is or if she's got some sort of a bug.
Hello & welcome to the board. You don't mention your little girl's age?
Right before I weaned Kirsty, she was having constipation issues, but she was hardly BFing as she was sooooo distracted. When I weaned her onto formula, she was a "twice a day" girl I assumed it was due to getting more fluids via her fomula, she was having 4 bottles per day. But I wonder now if it may have been something similar?! Who knows.
I would monitor it for a couple of days. Is she drinking lots? Try to keep her fluids up to compensate for the diarreah.
Well, she turned two in December, so we don't need any formula, obviously. I don't really know what's going on. She just has had super soft stools for about a week now with some stools definitely being diarrhea. Her poo seems to be super acidic, though. She's got a rash that I'm trying to treat and says her "bum" hurts. She has no fever and doesn't act sick at all except for saying she is sore there.
