I am getting a little bit of a late start on the dares, but they will get done.
This is a good dare for me as I don't really like to read. DD LOVES to read however. DH usually reads her a book or 2 right before bed every night that he can. I do fill in for him on nights that he is not able to. I think I will try reading her a book when she lays down for a nap and we will continue with reading to her before bed as well.

I made it a point last night and tonight to read extra with my son. My dh usually puts Ethanael to bed and I put Gabriella to bed. So it was nice to interact with him differently and read his school books. He loves reading and usually sleeps with about 4 books each night.
Normally my DH reads to my son before bedtime. Instead of DH doing it I did it. I let my son pick out a book (he always picks his Mr Grumpy book) and I read it to him before it was time to go to bed. He likes the voices that I make and kept asking me to make the voices again. Too cute!
I am a bit late posting my first dare but it went well. My 2004er picked out a book and we read it together at bed time. It was a book about Thomas the Tank Engine which he loves very much. Going to try and make it a nightly routine. I usually read a bit after school with them.
I did this with Rock today. It was hard not to get him to run off. I should have broken it into more pieces because he doesn't have the sit still ability. I did break it into pieces a little bit, but there wasn't quite a long enough break for him. He probably would have happily done it if Daddy hadn't been having play time, but the kids always love that.
We read through his baby book. I loved looking at it, but I was reminded how I haven't finished it...sad.
I started the dare a third time today with LJ. He broke his arm, so he's needing extra help with things, so to be nice and give him extra love I read him his homework instead of him reading on his own. 3rd kid, 27 to go.
