Just explain to him that there are people out there who aren't nice and he needs to stay away from anyone who he doesn't actually know. You may want to look into stranger danger, it could help you out with explaining things to him on his level.

I'd say just tell him not to ever go with strangers...that's pretty standard.

I agree with Christen, I dont think you need to get into specifics about creeps just a reminder lecture about how he shouldn't talk to strangers and if one approaches him at school he should go and tell a teacher.

See if the school may have a video on stranger danger. Just let him know not to talk to anyone he doesn't know. Your local police station may have packages to to prepare your kids for this.

I started when my kids were real young because they go to daycare I can't always be with them. Honestly I just put the fear of God in them. I asked them straight out if they want a stranger to take them away from me forever and they usually stick to me like glue. Course this had more to do with walking away from me at a store of parking lot situation. Now I just make sure that they know that strangers aren't safe and to never go with someone they don't know. I talk about it alot with them. I think its important that they know who is safe and who isn't.

It is scary. I actually told my kids not to go with anyone they don't know because sometimes people you don't know are not good. Also told them that a person might seem nice and try to give them candy or ask for help (directions or a lost pet) but don't go with them for ant reason. Tell a teacher or yell loudly if they have to.

Since that little girl was abducted from school and murdered by someone she knew here in Ontario a couple years ago, I also told them not to go with someone they know unless I tell them ahead of time or their teacher tells them I called.

I agree with that one. Let your child know ahead of time who will pick them up and if its not them don't go with them.
