At what age do you think its appropriate to give your child soft drinks?

I dunno... I figure that's a personal decision for each parent on what they give their child and when.
Belly has only had a few sips, not from me since I don't really ever drink them - not because I'm like uber-against them or anything. And once in a blue moon the boys might get one, but generally only Sprite. Most of the time if they get one it's a can for the two to split, we won't give them a whole one.

For me personally, uh never, cuz I don't drink them, so why would I let my kids? But, I think they should be at least school aged before anybody does, just somehow my mind set and it always weirds me out when I see really little ones having pop.

I think it's a personal choice. However, I would look at a parent side ways if they gave a child under 2 soda.

christopher doesnt drink them he doesnt like the carbination...matthew drinks it every once in a while.....but i do limit the amount and watch what time of day it is.

i think jake was 2 1/2 or 3 when he was first allowed sips of pop. Now when he does get pop it's one cup generally sprite or 7 up at an out to dinner resturant (mcd's does not count!! he gets hi c orange there)
