He either eats a turkey sandwich or summer sausage and cheese sandwich for lunch other than Friday when it is either subway or pizza.
snacks are always:
1 yogurt tube
1 piece of fruit
1 cheese string
1 fruit gummy or dried fruit
1 snack (usually a muffin, bear paw, rice crispie treat or granola bar)
Orange juice or water to drink
I tried veggies but they were always coming home so I decided I was better off not wasting them and just make sure they get plenty with dinner and on the weekend. My goal for this year is to try and find a way to get them to actually eat their veggies at school so that more of their fruit and veggie servings come from veggies instead of mostly fruit.
Our school only does hot lunch twice a week and the kids get it Fridays but the stuff they serve on Tuesdays is just gross so I just try and send something in a thermos that day so they still get a hot lunch like their friends.
