Holy cow! She told me a while ago she can see words she writes, but sometimes not words in books.

So I said well, I must need to schedule her a doctor's appointment. So it is spring break, and that seemed like a natural time to get it out of the way. We went today.

They talked to her a moment, then weighed her (52 lbs) and then took her to the chart.

That's the top 3 lines...well there was more on line 2, but they didn't have Courtney read it so I don't remember. Anyway, she clearly says with the first eye "E" then "Another E" (uh-oh), then "L" (Like, major uh-oh). So they have her switch eyes. "E" "F" "L" (Really? Again?) "O" "S" (Hmmm, yep...)

So clearly Courtney will be needing some glasses. This is such a foreign thing to me as there were like 8 lines below the 3 I wrote...I could read 7 of them easily...so uh...we'll see. We have to wait til the next doc has the referral before I can schedule the appointment.

Ugh glasses at so young can be a challenge.

I would be afraid if Brendan ever needed glasses he loses things as much as I do.

ETA I do know he will be getting them down the road as one eye is with astigmatism. I didn't start wearing glasses until 5th grade.

I do wish they made better glasses for noses from cleft lips that make your nose not be able to have the arch and every glasses I wear they slip off.

I know nothing about loosing glasses, but I do know about loosing sunglasses, so may end up being an issue. However, I'm not worried about her loosing them at all at this point. All I'm worried about is that I want to make sure she can see.

Well it better to know she need them then not to know.County is you 7 year old right? because is she younger then maybe the mes-ups was in her not know the right name for the letters. Eather way keep use up to date on you little one.

She's 7.5 now, she knows the letters for sure
