First let me introduce myself. My name is April and I'm 29 years old and my boyfriends name is Oscar and he is 32. I have 2 sons, OJ 6 years old and Isaac 3 years old and one on the way, I'm due in October.

Let me tell you a little about my little Isaac. Isaac is a very sweet little boy and everybody who meets him just loves him. Isaac is also developmentally delayed due to a small deletion on his Chromosome 18, it's called Chromosome 18 q-. This affects him in the following ways, developmental delay such as delayed gross motor skills, speech problems (he only has 10 words), eczema, asthma, thin hair, sensitive to sunlight, and his 2nd toe on each foot is placed funny. Isaac actually has a mild case and for that we are thankful. He is a happy boy.

Well Isaac used to go to a preschool for kids 18 months to 36 months through our Regional Center but today he started big boy preschool through our school district. It's called Preschool Mix Special Day Class. He will be in a class with 8 other kids, 1 teacher and one aide. He will go M-Th 11:40-2:00. His dad is dropping him off as I am typing this. I'm a little worried but after the tour and meeting the teacher and with Isaac's school experience I feel pretty good.

Starting next week the bus will start to pick him up at our house. The school is only 2 miles away from our home but it still makes me nervous. My little boy riding a bus to school.

Thanks for reading and I hope to get to know all of the mommies here.

This board is kind of slow. I just started posting here a few weeks ago and was kind of shocked at the slow pace.

At any rate . . . I'm Mindy. My DS is Rylan and he will be 3 at the end of August. It's so nice to have you and Isaac here with us! how exciting that he is in a big boy preschool! What an exciting time!

Before becoming a SAHM last June, I taught in an early intervention preschool for kiddos with disabilities. It was the best job, next to being a SAHM, of course. I just loved the kids in my class. Each and every one holds a special place in my heart!

Can't wait to get to know you and Isaac a little bit better!
