How are things with you? Have you settled into life and routine with your new little one? Anything fun you're doing with your baby to share - playdates, classes, etc?

Okay, the SAHM thing is getting a little easier for me. We do have a routine down that includes 1 outing a day for the boys. Usually its only to Wal-Mart or the bank or something but it gets them out of the house long enough to satisfy them. We haven't started any classes or playdates but I think that's because there were never any around me. However, Burlington has a year-round aquatics center so I'm going to look into swim classes for Ethan maybe or just some public time to take him swimming on the weekends and what not. THere's classes at the library that I want to take him too but I'm not sure how that would work with Patrick being so little. I'm also going to join the meetup.com group for my area to get to know some other moms too!

We have settled into a great routine. I can always expect Mia to be hungry and sleepy at the same time every day. Recently she quit taking her last nap of the day but she is going to sleep earlier. I actually prefer it that way. I'm not doing any classes or playdates. Everyone I know has kids that are older and in school. I'm the only one with a baby now whereas 7 or 8 years ago all of my friends were all having babies, lol.

I just started working, but honestly i still consider myself a SAHM, as im home with her MOST of the week.
We havent started any playdates or anything yet. I want to sign her up for some of the park district stuff, but i am trying to wait until the spring, after she is a year old, and might enjoy it more.

There are lots of little babies in my area( all mackenzies age) so im hoping once spring and summer hit, that she will be able to have playdates with them more.

Right now, we dont work so much on share, but we have been doing " Give to mommy" and she does. But i guess i should start saying, share with mommy.

Our routine is good over here. Im finally getting a good routine down with eating 3 meals a day and having bottles with naps. its taken me a long time to get in that groove.

Iv been a SAHM since Im 20 years old,so its something Im used to now after 10 years lol.It took me a little while to get used to having a baby all over again, because my my kids are 12 and 9 years old,so it was quite hard to get back into the loop..it especially took me a LONG time to get used to the lack of sleep, the lack of "me" time and the not being able to leave the house as quickly as I liked lol.
But Im enjoying it now and I love being able to stay at home with my kids. Its hard at times, because being a SAHM means that you dont get many oportunities to mix with other adults, but at the end of the day,its very rewarding.
I know that one day I´ll have to go back to work, but it wont be for years yet.

We dont do play dates etc etc.Noelia is always with us,and she sees her cousins alot etc,so I dont see the point of that.

well since I became a SAHM after Bri was born I have a pretty good routine. Right now I have Bri in a 3-5 year old cooking class and 3-5 year old dance class and Becca is in swimming. They are all classes through the town and just for fun and interaction with other kids. Plus my bff (another JM momma) has a son who is 4 months older than Bri and a daughter 5 months older than Becca so we try to get the kids together at least once a week for a play date.

We have settled into a nice routine and have a very busy life. We take swimming classes (tuesday & thursday), rhythm and rhyme (monday), and kindermusik (saturdays). Jack loves them all! We also have a playdate every other week with my BIL's sister, she has a 5 year old a son 3 months younger than Jack. We love spending time together. we also try to see the cousins , but they are crazy busy, so always hard to find time.

I find the problem when to fit in my work, but it usually happens when Jack goes to bed.

I'm a SAHM (well as of today, a WAHM) and I definitely feel like I'm in my routine now. We are happy staying at home playing, and we are happy getting out of the house for playdates and classes. Lily is in preschool three mornings a week, Julia takes a gym class one morning a week and we do playdates weekly as well. Socialization is super important to me at this age... especially since I"m a SAHM... so I try to get the girls used to interacting and sharing with children of all ages.

Being a SAHM is great, but in terms of routine.... It seems like we can only get a routine down for a few weeks and then Nathan changes it on me!! His eating and sleeping schedule are actually quite all over the place (maybe I am not strict enough with this?) and so I find myself adjusting ALL the time..it's soooooo annoying.

Nathan doesn't sleep through the night yet...I think this has to do with it as well. He does not love sleep like his mommy and since he still wakes up anywhere from 3 - 8 times (YES, YOU READ CORRECTLY) I still feel like I am in the newborn stages when it comes to the night time...sighhhhhhh....

Also, Nathan is very needy so I can't do much around the house during the daytime....I end up trying to do lots of house chores during the weekend, when DH is home, but when we need to go out and get some errands done together it all gets pushed down the priority list and then the house will look like a mess for a while

We haven't had any play dates or classes of any sort so far...but I am interested in baby swim classes...

I've been a SAHM for 7 years. Reid really threw me for a loop when he arrived; he was a fantastic baby but going from 3 kids to 4 was very hectic for me. Part of it was because of the time of year; he was born at the beginning of farming season when DH was home the least. Guess we didn't plan that one very well! But this past fall things finally settled down for me once I didn't have to worry about yard work or the garden anymore (and Ben was potty trained!) and since then things have been great.

We don't do any outside activities at all. Once a week I take one of the boys shopping with me but otherwise we are at home all the time on the farm, schooling, playing outside, playing inside....

I don't have that much to share.

Natasha has gymnastics once a week, but that's about it. We don't have a car and it being winter, it's not easy to get out anywhere. We have a ton of snow and I can't always move the stroller through it.

We do a lot more in the summer - park/playground everyday (weather permitting), I take them to the mall, shopping, etc. I tried meeting a few moms from meetup.com before, we met once and never got together again. And I've looked into it recently and there is nothing active for my area.
