Has anyone seen the previews for the big Jon & Kate special on Monday night? There is a voiceover saying "Recently we've come to some decisions... decisions that will affect our entire family... that will hopefully bring us some peace."
Nobody has confirmed that Monday's show will have a divorce announcement (or what kind of announcement it is). What do you think it is?

Hmm. Don't think it is divorce- but who knows. Maybe cancelling, although they would have to be released from their contract.

Yeah I don't think they're cancelling the show, either. The show has gotten way too popular in recent months. I would hope that they're not getting a divorce, and I think that having a "special show" to announce it would be way tacky.
Either way...I'm not going to get to see it. I don't have cable or satellite so you girls will have to keep me updated!

I think they're going to seperate...I really hope they're able to work things out and stay together in the long run...divorce sucks (being a child of divorce myself) and I can't imagine how it would effect 8 little ones!

I don't know. I don't really agree with what they're doing.
Personal Opinion: I really think that divorce should be the worst case scenario, all option has been exhausted, and you can't be married to this person anymore as it will cause you physical and/or emotional harm to do so. I don't know what's going on behind closed doors, but from what it looks like, their marriage has needed work for some time now, and they don't really seem to be working on it. Why not take a two week vacation to a remote island to spend quality time together? He wasn't even there for her birthday! It just seems like they are both really walking away. Their marriage and family should be #1. They can always restart the show later if they want to. I just wish that they would try to work it out.

I've wondered that, too, Sarah - it's really been obvious for a while that their marriage is really needing some help, but they haven't done anything about it. I realize they have other things to worry about, but my marriage is pretty darn important to me... and they do take WORK to sort out when there is problems!
I have no idea what the announcement might be.... it's probably majorly overplayed for suspence... it's likely something smaller than people think. But who knows.

I heard on the radio that it was that they are divorcing but I don't think that is it.
My guess is that they are seperating or canceling the show. I know that they are going to councling because they were going to air some of it on tv. But I guess we will see Monday!

Ugh. If I were them I'd kick the video cameras out of the house and work on what was important, my family. But hey when you get all kinds of $$ and free stuff I guess you get tempted to take that and push your family aside..never me though, never me!
Oh and if they ARE announcing divorce I called it first..they'll be on the Dr.Phil show by the end of the month...

I agree with Christa. TLC has a hit on their hands, I don't think they will let them cancel their show without too much trouble.

I would guess separation, although part of me thinks they already were but trying to hide it. I thought I read somewhere that it was "confirmed" divorce yesterday. The whole situation makes me sad for the children.
