I am in major need of a midriff cover up. My issues is that I can't find anything that is under 15 dollars that doesn't have a stupid shelf bra in it (I was wondering if I could just cut that part out?). I am a 36DD when nursing (shoot, even when not nursing ), and the shelf bras don't give enough support and do a weird uniboob thing. Bleh.
I have 3 nursing tops that are tshirts, and several knit tanks that I cut holes into...but I can't wear those things under like thermal shirts, because the thermal shirts are a bit form fitting. I'm a naturally cold person and will surely freeze when we go to MI for Christmas, if I don't figure out something! lol

It is actually really funny you mention cutting out the shelf bra because I JUST did that last night... lol
I am not nursing anymore but still HATE the shelf bra for the same reasons as you. The tank doesn't fit as snug as some of my other tanks now, but still works WAY better than it did with the bra thing.
I get camisoles and tanks at old navy for cheap. Also I really like the costco brand camis.
Did this help at all or am I just rambling....? lol
I just got one of those things you buy to hold your pants on when you're pregnant and can't button them...preggo brain can't remember the name and it's out in my car still. Anyway, it was on sale for $14 at Target and I don't know if it will work, but I was hoping it could sort of serve the purpose of covering some skin while BF. I haven't taken it out of the package yet to see how high it will go or if it will be tight enough to stay up when not pg. Otherwise, I'd try just a regular tank like from Old Navy. Good luck!
