Haha.... DH eats them and leaves some crumbs as well. We haven't done carrots before; we may have to try that this year.

Lol, you ladies sure come up with good ideas. My kids an I makes cookies right before bed time so they will be nice and warm for Santa aka my fiancee and I and of course can't for get the eggnog, for the reindeer oatmeal with glitter in it, which my fiancee does that with the kids, they go outside 30 mins before they get in their new jammies we let them open on Christmas eve, they scatter the oatmeal and glitter all around the house, so Santa and the reindeer can see the glitter by the moon light.

I usually do, and the carrots I'll eat most of and leave a few bites outside for the boys to discover - reindeer are messy, after all

Well, this is the first year Leah is aware of any of that so it's the first time we'll officially leave cookies. I'll have to get back to ya on who eats 'em.

Usually, I just put them back in the jar since by the time I get to the Santa plate, I've eaten at least a full batch

Sometimes DH and I will eat the cookies, sometimes we just put them back with the other cookies. We always leave a few little crumbs and a note from Santa thanking the kids for the cookies.
We don't do carrots, instead we make reindeer chow. We leave a few bits and pieces from it so it looks like the reindeer ate it and made a mess (reindeer are messy, didn't you know )and the rest goes down the garbage disposal.
