Do you buy many DVDs ?
I have friends and family members that seem to buy everything that comes out on DVD. I just can't get into doing it. I think we have maybe 25-30. And that is only because of the girls.
Are there certain types you buy? Kid stuff, TV series......?

We buy blu ray usually something that was fab at the cinema's or box sets, if it was a ok film then we will download it, We maybe have 20 - 30 dvds in the house

We pretty much only buy stuff on dvd/blu-ray if it's a kids show anymore (our last purchase was Cars 2)... We so rarely sit down to watch grown up movies, and we've got Netflix to watch stuff we've never seen before if we DO want to watch something.

In our former life (aka before Leah was born!) we were HUGE movie buffs and my DH would often buy movies or we'd receive them as gifts at Xmas and our birthdays. Our collection is around 800+. That includes regular movies, box sets, TV shows, kids movies, stand-up comedians we like, etc.
Now, we rarely ever buy movies and we're so out of the loop. We don't have cable so we do pick up new children's DVDs here & there for Leah. DH & I get the occasional DVD gift, but that's about it. Other than kids' movies, we rarely sit down and watch a regular movie now, maybe a few times per year. My, how times have changed! LOL

We have an apple tv and dh is always downloading movies and tv series. We never buy DVDs

Eric wants to get Apple TV - oh! I think I just figured out his father's day!! Woot woot! Anyway, we don't buy many movies except for kids movies. Of those, we have like every single Disney movie ever and a few Thomas ones, and some others.

We own a handful of Disney blu-rays but use our Apple TV more than the DVDs.

We buy more kids movies these days than anything. But there are some that we still buy for us like the Harry Potter movies, Avatar, etc. We usually buy the sci-fi or fantasy type movies. Dramas and comedies we just get from Netflix. I got DH Apple tv for Christmas so we have that too.

 We don't have Netflix, but if we did, the ONLY thing we'd buy is kids' movies. I'm like Claire - just buy the ones that were really great at the theatre, or ones that I know we'll enjoy (like Will Ferrell, we love that guy!)

I think Eric will really like the apple tv. We have 2 and it's awesome!!
