Is all I'm hearing from Kate these days. Ugh. That and "we have a boring house". Ya know, never mind the endless toys and crafts we have and the busy schedule we have. I know its just a phase but man it is getting old!
I could have written the same post. Veronika says the same thing a hundred times a day. She, too, has a million toys... Plus, I print her coloring pages, we read, she watches movies (sometimes), she draws... and still, whenever I tell her it's time for her to play by herself, it's "I am bored."
That's why I am glad she's starting school in September. 3 hours of kindergarten a day should help her out, I think.

I definitely agree with you. Our weather has been hit or miss the past few days to actually go play outside, but I'm definitely looking forward to the days when I can just kick the kids outside to go play. Kate LOVES preschool her 3 mornings a week, and I'm tempted to try to get her into a 5 day a week morning program for the fall.
I think Keller would be completely bored out of his mind if he was here all day - he has school all day long 3 days a week and he loves it. Plus then when he is home, either our activities are different and he's excited, or he enjoys the downtime. And then when we actually get to go somewhere he gets along better with me and with Isla b/c he's not sick of us. haha.
I am going to continue his school through summer, except only 2 days/week b/c we usually have more activities/outside time going on.

See, I think it's a 2nd, 3rd, etc. child deal. Natasha never complains she's bored? I think it's because she learned to play independently before Veronika was born. Veronika doesn't know what playing alone means, and she never complains she's bored when Natasha is home lol. They keep each other busy. It's just in the mornings when I'm busy with the baby and Natasha's at school that the "I'm boreeeed" begins.
But yah. Looking forward to school in Sept!

I agree with you Julia, Kate is always saying she wants to play with Lily or Julia and does have a hard time playing by herself. And Erin, I do the chore thing with the big girls every time they tell me they are bored... I hadn't thought to do that with Kate yet, but I think I might, especially since it works so well with Lily and Julia!
I wish, Julia. Eric is totally all about "I'm bored!" "It's boring here!" "School is boring!" "Home is boring!"
LOL. No, Natasha can play with her dolls for hours while Veronika naps or whatever. Or she can draw/color for an hour, then move on to the next activity. When she's home, Veronika usually does what she does as far as activities go. But when she's in school, Veronika wants me to play with her all the time.

Im lucky so far as Keeley hasn't ever said she's bored, when the older kids are here she's always busy and when she's alone with her toys i think she's just glad its less busy play lol
