Does anyone else have a thumb sucker?

Cooper still sucks his thumbs (yes both!) at night or when he's really tired. We're trying to make him more aware of it but are not making any progress. Neither our pediatrician or dentist are too concerned about it but I'd like it to stop sooner rather than later.

Any ideas on getting him to stop?

Leah sucks the two middle fingers on her right hand. We've been thinking the same thing - how to get her to stop? Like Cooper, she only does it at bedtime or when she's really tired. And when we make her aware of it, she doesn't care either.

My DH told me that he was thumb sucker when he was little and his parents used some kind of spray that made his thumb taste gross, so he stopped. I keep meaning to google that to see if something like that is out there. Otherwise, I am all ears for suggestions as well!

My mom told me that my brother was a thumb sucker and she ended up using some kind of cider vinegar on his thumb. She said it tasted gross but was healthy. He was also 7 though I do believe.
