I just got a new sewing machine but I haven't sewn in a couple years. The thread keeps coming undone like every couple minutes and it's getting really annoying to re-thread the machine every so often, what am I doing wrong?

Is your tension wrong? Did you troubleshoot online or in your manual?

There is no dial or setting I can see on the sewing machine that affects the tension - the manual doesn't really explain or tell me what to do with the needle coming unthreaded all the time.

what type of machine are you using (make and model)? I can probably look it up and try and help.

thanx hun! =) maybe there is a dial for the setting and I'm just missing it, but the manual doesn't really say what to do.
