I just HAD to have this cros stitch when I saw it at Micheals. I had left it sitting for a couple months while I worked on Christmas gifts and such. I still have ornaments and stockings to do, and to finish a gift, but none of that stuff will take very long, so I feel like I've got PLENTY of time with Christmas nearly 2 months away. We're talking a couple days worth of Christmas projects, no biggie!!
So, I have started sewing the edges of the fabric and sorting the thread. Wow, even those projects are turning out to be very time consuming! I am glad to be getting started moving in the right direction on it though. I plan on starting to actually stitch it this weekend. I should be able to finish the thread sorting and the fabric sewing by tomorrow night.
Here's the cross stitch design, isn't it AMAZING?!!!! I want to put it in my living room. There is a lot of dark blue in there, I'm not crazy about it, but the stuff belonged to my brother in law who was killed in Iraq, so of course it is staying. It also has purple, which is my favorite color. I am so excited!!
Here is the stitching chart. The edges with a lot of the codes are cut off, but I took the picture more to show the design.
Here are the two bundles of thread I have already sorted
Here's the two bundles I have left to sort
Wish me luck! I'll probably need some encouragement on this project!!!
