I found this amazing picture of a crocheted rug on this website:

field of crocheted flowers

I would love to recreate it. I've contacted the blogger (never heard back) and searched the internet and Better Homes and Gardens website, but can't find anything!

I think I'll be able to figure out the flowers from the photo, but how do you think the flowers are joined together? I'm guessing they are joined behind the petals, but they don't look like uniform rows.

Any ideas or thoughts welcome!!

Thanks!

I'd say either a whip stitch or a straight stitch along the back. Lovely! I think with that one, you can do pretty much what you want. Personally, I'd use like a fishing line to sew them together so the stitch isn't seen.

That looks awesome!! I'm with MotherFrog on this one. Just stitch the flowers together (I never thought of it to use fishing line... I use thread so you can't see it in the yarn) Good luck and you'll have to show us the finished product!

I'd say that they are sewn together using a simple slip stitch. That's a beautiful rug btw!
