LOL up until now, whenever i've started a new knitting project, my mum has cast on for me.. but I decided that it's time to grow up & do it myself so today I got myself some cheap wool & some needles & found a good online video & whammo! I can now cast on

I've started knitting a super easy pair of longies for Emersyn.. they are in acrylic wool, but I don't really care - if they turn out well, I will buy proper wool and knit a woolen pair.. but I didn't want to spend the $ & then have them not turn out...

wish me luck!

If it makes you feel any better, I have to watch a tutorial video any time I have to cast on. I keep forgetting how to do it!

That is great that you were able to do it yourself. I have tried and tried knitting and haven't been able to figure it out yet.
