melanie was not cooperative so they had to do the test just to see if her hearing with both ears was within normal limits. It is "low normal" but we still don't know if one ear is having problems. I am looking for another audiologist, I just don't feel this one even tries to get cooperation out of the younger kids.

Ugh! I am sorry your audi wasn't great. They have really got to be on the ball when doing pediatric tests, it is so tough! Do you have an ENT? They may be able to refer you to a good pediatric audiologist in your area.

Also, I found an oral deaf school in the LA area that you might contact. Our oral deaf school is part deaf school, part pediatric audiology; they see patients with all levels of hearing loss, fit and program hearing aids, etc. If you give their audi department a call, they can probably tell you where you could go for testing with an audiologist trained in working with kids, be it them or a local hospital with a good audiology department.

I would get a referral to a pediatric ENT and/or audiologist. They know how to work with kid much better. Kel's idea is great too!

That sucks that you didn't get answers. Hang in there, hon.
