Ours is a weird situation. My sister is my "employer" through In Home Supportive Services. I get paid to take care of her while my mom is at work. So technically I work outside the home, but she lives close enough (2 floors down and about 4 doors over) that I spend most of the day home and go down stairs a few times a day to care for her. It allows me to stay home and still have a income, though not much. As her health gets worse i get more hours though and just got more hours approved so I should be getting more very soon.
For now, at least, I work outside the home full time. That is one of those things that I know could change any day - but for now, Danny does not need me at home, and so I continue to work. We have a daycare that we've been using since Eric was 6 weeks old; I trust them completely with my kids, and they are willing to do whatever they can to help.
I work full time outside the home.... 3 12 hour shifts per week. We have an amazing sitter who has watched Andrew since he was 3 months old & Luke since about 3 months too. The boys love her so much. I am hoping some day to be a SAHM.
Thanks Yvonne (Jaidynsmum) for my beautiful siggy!
SAHM for now! Works better for our situation. Plus, after figuring everything iin, we'd pay more for me to work! At some point, DH may be the SAH parent, but since he can't pump breastmilk and is the one with a stable job (hard to give that up these days!), I'm home!
