I don't know if I told you ladies, but we were really worried Melanie had Juvenile Diabetes, and so was her ped. Her ped also worried that she was having thyroid problems. Well we saw her doctor today to follow up on all her labs and there is no reason to believe she has either problem!

However the concern now is the symptoms she has (constantly hungry and thirsty) is her response to stress. So we are now working to help her handle her stress (this all started when Joey was in the hospital).

That's great! Hopefully you will be able to figure something out about the stress. I'm sure it's hard on her, as it is all of you.

HOORAY! Ultimately, of course, stress will be easier to deal with/manage/alleviate than JD! I bet you're so relieved!

We've been having similar problems with Kannon recently. He's showing signs of bad reflux. It COULD be something that just runs in our family, but its onset has come since Milo was born, and before the typical age of onset. We're trying our best, which is all you can do, too!

Good luck! I'm so happy for you guys that it's not JD!!!

Yea, we never put 2 and 2 together until the doctor mentioned it. And then it clicked. She gave us some suggestions on things we can do to help her cope with everything (some books since she loves books and some things we can do with just her to get her away for even 15 minutes). She also suggested a child psychologist so we can help her cope with her stress better.

I can just see it now "My 3 yr old is stressed"

Our oldest had issues with the stress of things as well, and continues to see a psychologist to help him express his feelings in other ways. I know it sounds weird, but it has helped us a lot
