Are you a SAHM or do you work? If you work, what do you do?

I work - which has caused a lot of people to give me a lot of grief, but at the moment, it's what works for our family. The boys are in a center daycare and Danny does in class therapies with all of his therapists where the teachers can participate and learn, and I work with them to arrange any special dietary needs, ensuring he is in a stable class at the right development level, etc. My day job is as an administrative assistant for an ice cream company. I tell everyone I'm the ice cream mom, and a couple times a year I get ice cream for my kids' daycare for parties and stuff.

I'm an analytical chemist and I work way too much. I work Sunday nights so I can take all day Monday for Hunter's therapies. Plus he has 1-2 on Thursday mornings so I either let DH do those or I just come in late and make up the time. Luckily I have a GREAT boss and a job that can be flexible. DD does great in their "school" (it's an educational daycare facility) and they are SUPERB with Hunter. Even with all his needs/problems. I pay out the wazoo for the dang place but it's worth it to see them flourish and feel safe with them there. I've been really wishing I could take a sebatical or just be at home more but DH's business venture isn't launching so my salary is what we're living on and I carry the insurance (as crappy as it might be, we NEED it!!). So *sigh* another lifetime maybe

My job is to be Carter's mommy! I resigned from my public relations job to raise our son, it's the best job I ever had and nothing I learned on college prepared me for it, but I love it!

With Carter being special needs I have no idea how he would get 5 different therapy sessions a week and also get to the aquatics class we take.

I'm like sara, we made the choice almost 2 years ago that layne needed me at home. I have only gone back to school since he started school, and I only go when he goes.

I'm a SAHM too. I'm also hoping to finish college when Ava is older.

I'm an RN in long term care (geriatrics). Been there since i was 18 so I'm working on my 15th year.... I'm half way to retirement.

I wish I could be a SAHM. It's not possible for us. But I only work 3 12 hour shifts per week.
