Hey ladies, Rebecca (host on BF) is here (talking to me as I type this), to take care of me & the kids (and has been doing an EXCELLENT job, my kids LOVE her to death!)... She will be able to post an update on Monday or Tuesday on how I am doing after my surgery. Surgery is for 10am on Monday, it's 3 hours for my surgery & then I'll be in ICU for one hour afterwards, then if all goes well, I will be moved to a room to recover for at least 2 days. I'm going to need some prayers, my kids/family need me & I'd be lying to you all if I said I wasn't scared about this whole thing. I know, I know... "Everything's going to be fine"... "you're in the best hands at Mass Eye & Ear"... "think positively & things will work out"... "Oh my, didn't realize that it was that serious"... I've heard all that & that's great, but here's the deal. No one knows WHAT for sure & it's been explained to me that my left ear, will never gain hearing again & my right ear, has a 40% chance of losing all my hearing, so I may never hear again after Monday, which is a reality. With that said. I don't need the regular "comments" like "everything's going to be fine"... "go in w/ a positive attitude"... I just need some prayers & well wishes. Talk to you soon (hopefully) ~Chantelle
