When you were pregnant with your SN child, did you have any idea that your child might not be "typical?"

If so, how did you prepare? If not, do you wish you had?

We had no idea at all. Ava still continues to surprise us!

We knew "something" was up with Danny, but had no idea what. Honestly, the peri who took me over from my OB made it out to be SO much worse than what it actually was that I spent the last month of my pregnancy in complete fear. The only reason I'm glad we knew something was up is that knowing "something" was amiss prompted my doctor to do a c-section and get him out at 36 weeks when my fluid was gone rather than trying to keep him in a few more weeks. As bad off as he was when he was born - and with meconium in his water no less - I doubt he would have survived much longer in me.

In our case we had no idea (specifically) but we were prepared that there maybe some issues due to my diabetis. We had a good pregancy but towards the end my blood pressure went up.

There were more issues after birth that during pregnancy but we have remained together as a family to face them.

With his problems there were no indicators during pregnancy. We didn't notice anything was a bit off until he started to get older and wasn't doing things other kids do.
