Does anyone know what's safe to use on chapped lips when the child is using a cannula? I know petroleum based things aren't allowed.

I was thinking lanolin based instead of petroleum based - would that work? I know Burt's Bees is lanolin instead of petroleum.

We use Burt's and some natural oils on Milo. Nothing too overpowering, since he's so sensitive. Burt's usually seems to sooth him quite a bit, though. I happen to love it, too.

I work at a hospital where we use a non-petroleum based 'surgical lubricant'. I'll look and see if I can find the commercial name for it.
