How many specialists follow your child?
How easy or hard are they to get in to see - and how often do you have to see them?

Joey sees a Neurologist, Neurosurgeon, and a Gastroenterologist. It's pretty easy to see them, but we haven't needed to see them for any other reason than the standard checkups.

We've nixed the ENT and audiologist, so it's down to the orthopaedic surgeon and the 2 PDD specialists. We see the orthopaedic surgeon weekly, but if we need to see him at other times in the week it can be tough to get in. It took us a while to get the appointment for his diagnosis. One of the PDD specialists, we see weekly as well. She's easy to get an appointment with, and she is through the EI program so we see quite a bit of her just from being around. The other PDD specialist, well we've been waiting since March to see him. He comes up to Bowling Green from Columbus once a month, and his time here is always booked solid so it's pretty tough to get in. May 17th is our first eval with him

We have an Endocrinologist, only have to see him once per year for a checkup . . . really not even that, he just wants Kaiden's thyroid checked yearly and we can do that in the pedi's office - so just see him if there's a problem.

We have a meet & greet with an audiologist on May 7th, she said ideally Kaiden should have his hearing checked every 6 months until he's 3, even if he has no problems or hearing loss.

Talked to an ENT, Kaiden's never had an ear infection and using GSE the longest a cold has ever lasted with him is 3 hours. So they said they'd like to meet him before he starts school, but they don't need to see him sooner unless a problem comes up.

He has seen a neurologist, but I doubt we'll go back. If we do go back, it won't be to him.

Neurology
Hematology-Both Boys
GI-Both Boys
Neuropsychology
Pulmonology
ENT-Both Boys
Audiology

I feel like I am forgetting someone and I'm sure I'll remember. All of these we see at least for 6 month intervals. We are official patients of Opthomology but that is consultative just so we dont have to get a referral if we have any more concerns. We also have pending referrals for DDBP(for Ty) and the Sleep Clinic(for Layne)

There are other clinics we have been to like the Apraxia clinic, but they don't technically follow him, they leave that to the ped and therapists.

Wow, it seems like a lot when I write it all out. LOL
