Danny's GI's nurse called back yesterday at about 5:15 from my message left that morning...grrr... Anywho, since Danny is still having the stomach pain...not *quite* as bad as before the meds but still more significant than a month or so ago by far...she wants to do the colonoscopy and endoscopy ASAP. We have tentatively agreed on clean-out admission Thursday and procedure Friday but she wasn't able to ask the procedure scheduling department because it was after 5. As long as there are any openings Friday for the procedures we will be going in Thursday afternoon and going home Friday afternoon or Saturday depending on how this hospital works and if she is doing a ph probe with it. I don't know if she is or not so I can't answer that one yet. He is eating between 1700 and 2100 calories again and getting enzymes and between his GI visit last Tuesday and his nutritionist visit this past Tuesday he gained another .5 pound. This weight thing is getting really confusing for everyone. He was on enzymes for almost 2 years. He gained for the first 6 months on the enzymes and since then had pretty much flatlined. He was off of them for about a month, lost .5 pound, then restarted them and gained 1.5 pounds in 3 weeks with enzymes and then another .5 pound the next week. If they are helping why had they stopped helping for so long? I am at an utter loss. Nothing else changed other than his stomach hurting A LOT more than before...
