Danny has some form of nasty URI. He has had thick, goopy green stuff coming out since Sunday and up since yesterday evening. We had to do neb treatments this morning and the allergy/asthma doc called in an antibiotic and said to do neb treatments every 4 hours until he stops coughing, more or less frequently as we see fit until he is better.
The "sucky" part of this is that he is supposed to have the endoscopy and colonoscopy on the 3rd with pre-op cleanout starting inpatient on the 2nd. Last time the GI cancelled the surgery because Danny was sick. I am hoping that since he will have been on an antibiotic longer than 5 days she will go ahead with it but I am not getting my hopes up. I see rescheduling another surgery in our near future... :/ I just want to find out what is wrong with his belly so that we can make it stop hurting and I can't keep him healthy long enough to even do that! Grrr.....
Sorry You are going through this. On the other hand I have asthma and it sounds like he has the same stuff I had a few weeks ago. After 4 days on antibiotics It was cleared up. Hopefully he will kick this infection quickly.
The GI's office said that with his history, (he sats in the 70's for about 10 minutes after they take the breathing tube out, then 80's for another 15 or so minutes then finally up in the low 90's for about 30 minutes then finally normal) they won't do anything for at least 2 weeks from tomorrow. >: ( IF he is 100% better. Danny's GI's last day is December 15th and we are supposed to have the surgery done and a followup and hopefully one more appointment before she leaves... How on earth are we supposed to do all that before the 15th of December? November 9th is the soonest they will do the surgery now and that will change if he doesn't get better. He usually gets REALLY bad, REALLY quick. His allergist didn't have us come in or anything because he knows how quick everything falls apart with Danny's breathing. :/ We are supposed to call tomorrow and reschedule the surgery and schedule the followup and such...
