Endoscopy- Taking out rice, coconut, and lamb has eliminated the ulcers!!!! Bile reflux and gastritis are still there though...this time the bile reflux can't be blamed on intestinal irritation from the ulcers as they aren't there... The GI said that she felt the upper endoscopy (esophagus portion) was irrelevant because of the amount of vomiting and gagging he did yesterday after the NG was placed.

Colonoscopy- It showed lymphnodular hyperplasia from one end of the scope to the other, including the terminal ileum...which is apparently significant. There are a few causes that I have looked up so far. The GI mentioned it is most commonly food protein intolerance related...so more allergy testing. The other two options were eosinophilic gastritis type issues and "If detected on the colon, food allergy should be considered, whereas if present in terminal ileum, it may be related to food allergy but also to a variety of other immunologically active disease states."

So basically wait for various doctors to get records, wait for next week's appointment to get biopsy results, and then wait for allergy testing... *sigh* The one thing we do know is that the lymphonodular hyperplasia is the cause of the stomach pain. Now we just have to figure out what is causing that and how to get rid of it...

I'm glad you are starting to get some answers!!

While lamb turned out to be a perfect fit for us (since Kaiden can't have beef or pork) I know it has some specific enzyme or protein or something that some people are allergic to. Yay for some progress!!!

They only tested for lamb because of his enzymes. They tested for beef pork and lamb because those are the three main sources of enzymes for supplementation. It was more if he was allergic to beef and pork could he use those. So we didn't really cut it out I guess...
