Wesley is getting a feeding tube tomorrow. After extensive testing, we know he has eosinophilic esophagitis, causing severe gastritis, and he also have severe gastroparesis. His endoscopy showed sores and big white blotches on his eophagus (EE). He is barely able to eat because of the pain, so he will be on continuous feeds with a pump. Due to the gastroparesis (slow motility), he gets full often, so we are oping that feeding him a little at a time will make him more comfortable.

I'm sorry.

It's good to know what's going on I guess. And good that the feeding tube will help. But it still stinks that you guys have to deal with this. and prayers.

We'll be thinking of you and Wesley tomorrow.

That really sucks that he's having problems. I honestly love Ava's feeding tube. It has done so much good in our lives. She has EoE and gastroperesis also. We know what causes it, which is her Mitochondrial disease.

Do you have facebook? If so, there are some amazing tube feeding groups that help a lot.

Praying all goes well! I'm glad you have an answer. I too loved when Avery got her feeding tube. It did wonderful things for her!

He is adjusting to wearing his backpack, but is doing great overall. Ruby had a very hard recovery, like 6 weeks, but she had the Nissen Fundoplication and hernia repair along with the tube. We are working on getting the feeds figured out.
