Ellie was over her cold and I thought we were out of the woods. I was wrong. She started coughing and wheezing again yesterday spiked a fever which led to a seizure and throwing up all over her bed. She has pnumonia again. we're back in the hospital. I really hate this!
Her doctors keep telling me that kids with similar med histories usually outgrow breathing issues and febrile seizures by age 6. Ellie's 6. Clearly thats not happening for her.
probably won't be on JM much for a while. wanted to wish you all a happy new year and ask that you keep my sweet girl in your prayers.
Anna asked me to log in for her and give you all an update. Unfortunately, Ellie took a turn for the worse last night. She's been moved up to intensive care and placed on a respirator.
We absolutely believe that the Lord will heal her. Still it's very hard for us to see our little girl like this.
I don't know where else to post this. If any of you happen to know where Anna usually shares these things, I'd appreciate it if you could pass along this update.
Our whole family is very grateful for your continued prayers.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. They really mean a lot to us.
Ellie's off the vent but still in ICU
My MIL has been with Ellie all day so I could be at home with her sisters and catching up on things (like laundry and sleep). I'm feeling guilty for not being with her tonight but I know I'd feel just as guilty for not being with her sisters if I were there. I can't win. I'm going to try and enjoy an uninterrupted night sleep in my own bed.
