So....we started the food journal today. Danny is eating the same types of foods that he was before the chicken and beef allergies but after the chicken allergy he was still getting over 2000 calories per day. We have only had the beef allergy for a bit over a week or so and hadn't done another food journal since then. Since all of his meat has switched from Beef to Turkey and Ham he has been eating turkey pepperoni and bologna and sausage, etc made from Turkey or ham. Even with eating the same large volume of food his calorie count hovers around 1600 rather than 2000. He only needs 1500 to gain 1/2 pound per week so still well over that but less than what he had been getting and less than what I told the GI's last week. It doesn't really matter because either way he should be gaining weight quickly and isn't and it didn't matter when he was getting 2000+ calories per day but now I have to explain that to the GI that didn't like me before and probably won't again at this visit... Ugh...

It's all I got for you right now. You're doing the absolute best you can for Danny. Maybe the GI visit will go better than you expect.
