I am so frusterated right now my daughter Breeanna in a mystery, but th\\let me start at the beginning. She was born at 36 weeks with IUGR, single umbilical artery, ASD and VSD. We knew there was more wrong with her when she hated the sing and bouncy seat. Fast forar 2 years and she get dx with seizure disorder also has heart ASD closure. She is globally delayed, has pronation in her ankles and wheres SPO's. We have done all the gentic test which came back normal and everyone tell me she isnt autistic. We had an MRI yesterday and I went and picked up the results...this is what it says....small T2 signal hyperintense lesion in the left frontal lobal of uncirtian etimology, possibly caused by siezure. some areas of under myelinatyion in the bilateral antierior frontal lobes and slightl;y lowlying cerebellar tonsils. What the heck does all that mean? any ideas?

First of all, HI! Welcome to Just Mommies and the children with special needs board! I'm glad you posted in here and I hope you'll stick around. It's a slow board right now but we're trying to change that. It's a great group of mamma's who are all dealing with a wide range of special needs but we're very supportive of eachother. Jump in and post some more. Get to know us a little. We're a friendly bunch I promise, and we'd love to get to know you!

I'm Anna. Mamma to 4 beautiful girls. Meagan is 16, Abbey's 14, Kayla's 9 and Ellie is 6. Ellie has multiple special needs including chronic lung disease, cerebral palsy and severe anxiety. She also has febrile seizures and some sensory issues among other things.

I'm sorry you're feeling so frustrated right now and I wish I had answers for you. But I really don't have any idea what that all means. Decoding medical jargon has never been a great skill of mine. Most of that stuff just goes right over my head. But the silver lining at least is that you're not alone here. We have a few mamma's dealing with medical mysteries and or are just in the begining stages of getting a dx.

Whatever is going on, I can tell that you are a wonderful mother and you're doing everything you can to get Breeanna the care that she needs and that's what matters. to you!

I can't help with the medical decoding, but I just wanted to say welcome and ditto everything Anna said!

I'm Lucy, wife to Noah, Mommy to Claire 4 and Madelyn 2. Almost Mommy to Olivia 3mos. Foster Mommy to 2 7yr olds. All 3 of my girls were born addicted to drugs, and have a lot of special needs stemming from that.
