I am still at 4cm, but am now 80% effaced. I just need to dialate more and baby needs to move his head down further. More waiting...ugh...

That's some awesome progress at only 37w!! I honestly wouldn't bother with any checks until after you've gone into labor. They can easily use the lack of pre-labor progress to measure how you're not progressing.... which is ridiculous. It's your choice obviously, but I would advise against it.
