I'm not currently pregnant but I'm on my last pack of BCP, and when I'm done DF and I are going to TTC. I want a VBA2C. I've called every single midwife practice within 50miles of my home and no one will touch me. I also can't find an OB who will even allow me to try to labour. I've contacted ICAN's Canadian representative for help, and I'm still waiting on a response. What can I do? I'm feeling so horrible right now that I'm going to be forced into another scheduled section. I don't want one, I HATED my sections, I hated the recovery and I want to TRY to push my next child out. Why can't I be given that choice? I'm so upset. My body was made to do this, why can't I do it? Stupid doctors. Any suggestions?

I'm so sorry... I totally understand your frustrations! Doctors have no faith in women it seems like. You're right, we ARE made to do this... The only thing I can think of in your situation is a homebirth with a midwife. Is that something you'd consider? HB isn't my 1st choice (we're expecting in July) because of different factors that wouldn't make it ideal for us right now, but I would do it if that was the only way I could have a VBAC. Good luck!

(((HUGS))) Sorry you are not getting any help Laurel. Have you tried PMing Brandy from our PR? She is a midwife in Canada and even though she is not near you maybe she knows of someone in your area. Good luck hun!

Yep, that was one of the first things I did. She's looking into it for me. I also got in contact with ICAN Canada's president. She's working on it with me and giving me documents to show doctors/midwives there is nothing in the SOGC stating that VBAC isn't allowed after 2 Sections. Apparently all midwives and OBs are members of this SOGC. I'm feeling a little better and I won't go down without a fight.
