I'm in a similar boat - it's over 80 miles to the hospital where I'll deliver this baby. When I met with one of the OBs at my OB office she sat down with me in her office to go over the risks of a VBAC - told me it's .7% or less risk of uterine rupture and that I'm a great candidate for TOL. We discussed the risks of both VBAC and c-section, and I was given an informed consent for that lists all the risks of VBAC and c-section that I have to sign stating I'm choosing a VBAC. I asked questions about how they feel about epidurals, Hep locks instead of IVs, how far past my EDD they are comfortable letting me go (they said 41 weeks and then they want to discuss c-section, I'll discuss it but I'm not showing up for one), and other things like that. There are tons of great posts here about other questions you should ask but my mind just went blank. Good luck!
