Hi! I'm Joedee. I'm 8 weeks pregnant with my second child. My 9 lb. 11 oz. DD was delivered via c-section after 2.5 hours of pushing and her not budging. She was also face up. My OB is on board with VBAC but wants me to watch my weight this time, therefore watching the baby's weight. That's her main concern with VBAC...baby's size. I let myself go with DD but am eating right and exercising regularly this time. Luckily I feel great and have been able to keep it up.
I'm optimistic. The main thing that worries me is trying to do it unmedicated. I'm considering a doula this time. Oh and I'm due Jan. 5.
Welcome! I let myself go with my first 2 babies and gained 60lbs each! The first I had a normal vaginal delivery and the 2nd I ended up having a c-section. I was VERY motivated this pregnancy to have my body as fit and heathy as possible for a VBAC! I have a month until my due date and I have gained 6 lbs, I exercise every day, sometimes twice a day and have throughout the entire pregnancy. I have also changed my eating habits, I eat super healthy. I basically eat like a gestational diabetic would except if I splurge now and then it's not a big deal. Even with the small amount of wt gain, my baby is super healthy and doing perfect. I would really encourge you to get inspired to exercise and be healthy starting now! :-) I am also using hypnobabies this go around and am really excited about that, they have a VBAC success CD that I LOVE and I highly suggest!
