I switched to a different hospital and practice 20 weeks along with my last. Being you are early you can look into other locations and practices to find someone you are comfortable with. I think it depends on which you want more a VBAC or your local hospital. Good luck in your decision
I know how you feel, the hospital in the town where we live has a ban so I had to look elsewhere. I ended up finding an OB who delivered at a hospital 80 miles away and I had a fantastic VBAC. I wasn't happy about having to go so far while in labor but I'm thrilled I did it.
I'm thinking that I will have to go to a diff hosp. In the town I moved from,(about 30) miles away, they have a defacto-ban so I'm not sure how that all works. I guess with the hosp here, depending on how dialated you are, will determine if they keep or ship you concerning VBAC
Remember too that list is old, since the ACOG has changed their recommendations the list may no longer be accurate. The only way to know for sure what the current policy is would be to give them a call and ask. Sometimes the doctor is more important than the hospital in achieving a VBAC.
When they persisted in questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let the person among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." John 8:7 Sail Back to Me
And also remember that no matter what their policy is, you ALWAYS have the right to say NO! They cannot operate on you without consent, and you cannot be coerced into giving it. It is also illegal for them to turn you away without care. So they have to either deliver your baby or transfer you to someone who will.
