The Myth of Vaginal Exams

I saw this and it totally fit into my plan to turn down any vaginal exams before labor begins.

I never considered them as an indicator of pending labor, just a guide as to how my body is changing.

I didn't either, but as my body "wasn't" changing..then I started to think it never would. My experience has been that negative thinking isn't going to get you to where you want to go, so I'd rather just leave all the numbers out of this experience and not stress about weather my body is changing or not. I'd rather just let it happen. Maybe I'll get to the hospital in labor and be surprised by the number!

I just had what is hopefully my last appointment and I have not been checked yet! Even when they did the GBS swab last time not checking. I am fine with it too!
