hubby and I are currently ttc and I want a vbac. I have had one vag birth and one section *she was breech* and do not want another section.
Im looking at an hour and a half (probably less) drive to the birthing center. There are not any local hospitals that support VBAC's. We considered a home birth but hubby is more comfortable with a birthing center. I want a natural child birth this time.
How far have you gone or will go to get your VBAC?
with my first VBAC the hospital was only 45 minutes away, this time, there is a hospital about 30 minutes from me, but their VBAC success rate is terrible, and they make you deliver in the OR, so will be traveling about 2 hours to a hospital I think my chances will be better at.
Missing Our Angels gone too soon 6/5/10 & 3/1/14 Adam Michael 9/22/06 (c-section)~Nathan Joseph 9/4/08 (VBAC)~Lincoln Thomas 9/5/12 (VBAC)
I traveled 100 miles (so a little over an hour and half) for my VBAC. I ended up living there the last month of my pregnancy in temporary housing (like a Ronald McDonald house). It was well worth it! If I had to travel that far again I would. We've moved since then, so I'm hoping the local hospital will support VBAC's. The local hospital is 5 blocks from my house.
