Just wondering how long you waited between births for your VBAC?

My daughter will be 1 in 10 days and we aren't trying yet but I'm just wondering what the guidelines are? I had my c-section with her partly because she was breech but it was also elective too (even before I knew she was breech, I told my dr I wanted a c/s and she agreed). Anyway, I want the exact OPPOSITE for my next experience. I have a friend who is a doula and she will be attending my birth, as well as a midwife, I just need to know how long we have to wait!

Depends on who you talk to. I've known moms to VBAC with just 12-15 months between births. I mostly hear that 18-24 months between births is preferred. My VBAC will be 24 months after DS was born.

I had a c-section last birth, and I contemplated having a VBAC, but am deciding on a repeat c-section, however my Dr.s had 2 years, but that thir guidelines were 18 months. It would be 22 months by the time this one is due and they were fine with that....

my VBAC was almost 24 months after my c-section. But I would have tried a VBAC as soon as 15 months.

I've read waiting until your first is 18 months to get pregnant is usually best (for everybody, not just VBAC!)

The OB I worked for said 2 years. She let one girl go at 13 months and she completely ruptured.

From the midwifes I've asked this to (in the process of trying to find the right one for me), I've been told 18-24 months pretty consistently. The rule of thumb most have given me is you should be okay 18 months between births, but they prefer to see at least 24 months between births for a VBAC especially.
