Hey ladies! I'm thinking my CM needs some help. I've read that it should be very stretchy (as much as two inches), and mine never is. I'm wondering if Robitussen will help, and how much I should take, when I should start taking it, etc. Also, is there any danger to using it long-term? I don't usually like using any medication unless I'm really sick, so that tells you how desperate I am!

Sorry, I haven't tried it but I might need to try something for CM. I don't know if I can do Robitussin though, it makes me gag. I've heard Mucinex is good too, but IDK. I'll be interested in this too

The actual active ingredient of both robitussin and musinex is guafinasin. I think you are supposed to take 400mg three times a day. You are also supposed to drink a full glass of water with each dose. You also need to be careful that guafinasin is the only active ingredient. Some of the others typically found in those products can cause birth defects.

It does not actually increase your CM, it just thins it out.

Honestly as much as it costs I liked when we used PreSeed. It seemed to work for us... But for some reason I couldn't carry the baby.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I've miscarried as well.

I was also thinking about trying PreSeed. Someone on here posted a link and a code for a 15% off coupon if we order it through a specific site. I think the code was "Justmommies", but I'm not sure. I know the thread is around here somewhere. It's not that old.

I just got a new box off Ebay for $14 shipped plus I still have 1 left from March... I do think I may buy another box for when DH is home on R&R... We've got 2 weeks to make up for 4 months LOL.

Lol! Y'know, I used to have a LOT of CM. Doctors even commented on it. And I had no problem getting pregnant back then. Now I notice that I don't have nearly as much CM as I used to, and what I have never gets very stretchy. Hmmm....

The question is, what's causing that? I could try and fix the symptom, but I keep telling myself I need to go to the doctor and get a complete workup and find out if I'm premenopausal or what.

This is also why I liked the Preseed. I truly believe that a symptom of PCOS is that your CM is drier. I haven't ever looked it up but I am almost willing to bet on it because it causes everything else lol I HATE it!!!!

I've seen the PCOS acronym a lot, but I have no idea what it stands for. What is it?
