I wish DH had laughed at me when was elevating my butt on a pillow. No, he had been talking to someone, and that wasn't good enough. Instead he made me turn around mad prop my legs up on the wall with my butt WAY up. I did seem to have less leakage with the tummy position. I have heard it is a better position when you have a tilted uterus, and though my current doctor has not mentioned a tilted uterus my previous one did. Of course now that I told DH that, it is "you are not completely over on your stomach, roll over more, oh don't forget to keep your butt up." He is a little obsessed with baby making right now.
I don't prop my hip for a long time cuz I was told it is not necessary. The sperm swim faster once your DH ejaculates inside you...and the rest that leaks out of you..that's dead sperms coming out. That's what I was told... soooo I do lay on bed for 5 mins to rest then get out to shower
I lay on my tummy, well we tend to just lay together, he doesn't pull out right away, we snuggle for a bit, Put a cork in it right, LOL. then when he does pull out i roll over and we snuggle till we have to sleep or move.
Honestly, I've tried propping my butt on pillows, putting my butt and legs up the wall, laying on my belly, not pulling out, standing on my head.....none of it has worked with my three miscarriages, all were concieved when we were really busy and didn't even have time to lay still after BDing. Just jumped right up and kept going. I think I am going to get some INSTEAD cups and try, but I doubt they'll have any real affect either. Just running out of ideas. And saving for IVF. And dieting.
I honestly believe that maybe laying still for a couple of minutes might help, but really laying there for a long time doesn't really change much. Like Aaron said all the fertile sperm are swimming and gone very quickly and not still in the vaginal cavity to fall out by the time you get up. Now try to explain that to DH and make him believe it. At least I have finally convinced him I only need to lay still for 10 minutes.
We've tried it, but I found more leaked out than if I stayed on my back with my legs up.
Does anyone have the, um, wedge? (search adam & eve at your own risk if you don't know what I am talking about) We've been debating on getting it. I know there's the cervix pillow, but that doesn't seem like a great idea for us since we're really only trying for one... at least with the wedge we get more use out of it after our TTC journey
