You know you've heard them before, possibly a hundred times on your journey to starting a family. Every elderly person has their advice to offer you in order to get pregnant. I thought it would be fun to come up with our own list of wacky/crazy myths and/or old wives' tales.

Here's a few to start!

Relax! Stop trying so hard and you will be pregnant in no time."

"Infertility is only a worry for older women."

"You should have sex on day 14 of your cycle"

"Have sex during a full moon"

"If you have a regular period, you can conceive."

Some of these are kind of early pregnancy myths, but still.

"All normal women have a 28 day cycle."

"If you aren't pregnant yet, then you're doing it wrong."

"Stand on your head and you'll get pregnant." (I was actually told to do this.)

"Men never have fertility issues. It's always the woman's fault."

"You'll know the second you get pregnant."

"Men can feel their sperm. He'll know if they get to the egg." (I've actually read this one on JM, as well as other places.)

"If you aren't having morning sickness than you can't be pregnant."

"If you pee within an hour of having sex, you can't get pregnant."

"If you eat red meat you'll have a boy. If you eat vegetables you'll have a girl." (I find that hilarious since I know vegetarians that have boys.)
