Hey girls, I know a few of you are into photography, and I have a camera question. I am going to buy a camera tonight, but I don't know much about cameras except what I want from them. The Kodak I have now has quicktime movie outputs and I hhaate those lol, so i'm more in between the Canon and Nikon (but if the overwhelming opinion is Kodak I might just put up with it lol). I take alot of pictures inside my house so I need something that can handle the low lighting. And once DH is into trucking I will be taking alot of pictures wherever we are outdoors lol. Any suggestions on brands?

These are the 3 I am deciding from.

I am a HUGE Canon fan for digi photos. I've had several, and I've never been disappointed. A huge part of my photos are using trip photos or concert photos and I am usually very pleased with them. I've also used mine to get really nice detail close ups for eBay as well.

I've borrowed Kodak's before and I have always been unhappy with the end result. I'm sure others may disagree though.

Thanks! I've only really ever used Kodak's so I am pretty much clueless about anything else. I've only ever payed attention to megapixels lol

I am a Canon Fanatic! All of my Digitals and one of my film cameras that I use all the time is a Canon. I would most definitely recommend a Canon Powershot if you're purchasing a Point and Shoot. http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controll...fcategoryid=113

They are very reasonably priced and great quality! Canon prides themselves on their products and in my opinion they really should. They are a great brand and I wouldn't have any other!! Unless we're talking Hasselblad LOL

ETA: as far as the Kodak goes, I do have a small point and shoot that I used to take a couple of my cousin's senior photos with(It was a backup to my digitals that happened to die right as we were finishing the shoot and I wanted a couple more shots.) Mine is the Kodak EasyShare V530. Here's the photos I took with it.

Remember the key to a good photo is not the camera, its the person operating the camera

I'm a Canon girl too! The day DH deployed I went out and bought a Powershot SX100IS and LOVE this camera. It's so easy to use. I'm saving up to get a digital Rebel. My friend also was going through cameras right and left. She bought a Powershot and will never own another camera but a Canon. She's had it about 8 months (her other cameras never lasted past 4 months as she was hard on them).

Thanks girls! You are such a big help, I have a friend who is into photography but all he said was they are both great brands... But he also promised to teach me how to use them well once I pick one.
