I can't find an RE anywhere near here. The closest place is St. Louis. We do have endocrinologists though. My understanding is that they are different, but would it be worth it to see an endocrinologist, or would they not be able to help us at all? I'm not really sure what exactly they can do.

IDK. I'm having the same problem. Closest to me would be Iowa City or St. Louis. If I have to go that far, I'm going to a clinic that I've heard great things about in Indianapolis. I was really hoping to find something much closer!

Tracie....I know I've probably already asked this and just can't remember, but what part of Missouri are you in? I'm just a little north of the border in Iowa. In fact, I work about 2 miles north of the border.

Im sorry that your having trouble finding an RE close to you, but I do think that only an RE can treat you for the infertility part. From what i have heard regular endocrinologist do not treat or have the background for that. hope this helps but just incase i would call and check anyways you can always ask a nurse...good luck!

I'm in Southeast Missouri, down by Arkansas. I tried searching for RE's in Illinois, Arkansas, Tennessee, everywhere, and the closest I can find right now is St. Louis. It's frustrating, isn't it? I don't know if an RE would be able to help or not, but I can't even find out because there isn't one around here!

I don't know how far you are from Kansas City, but I just found a couple listed in the Kansas side of Kansas City. I didn't find them before because I was just searching Missouri. Probably not any closer.....and in reality further for you, but thought I would mention it.

Have you called any local bigger hospitals? Our's shows RE under OBGYN, but when you click on their profiles it shows RE. According to the site listed above there's no RE's in ND or MN which I know is not true.

The one for ND is the one I'm going to be going to, but I know there are more in the state.
