I got my original levels drawn last Thursday, 4 days ago. It was 50 then. They told me to come back today to recheck it, knowing the levels are supposed to double every 48 to 72 hours. So I was hoping for something around 200 today.

It was 601!!!!!!!

She told me that if I use the OB that has been ordered the blood tests and looked at them they he would like to do the first ultrasound around the time my levels would be around 5000, so counting that out she thinks I should schedule that ultrasound from some time just after the 1st. I was thinking I wouldn't get to have one until 9-10 weeks. Normally I am off Tuesday afternoons, so I was thinking about scheduling it for June 3, but that week we are doing rabies clinic (where we drive around the county giving rabies shots. ) Typically because one doctor and two helpers are the ones driving to cover the clinic pretty much no one gets time off that week. We are splitting it with another clinic this year, plus we have an extra vet in the clinic so maybe I will still get my off afternoon. I will just have to ask.

OMG! Those are good numbers! Maybe twins? I've heard of alot of that going around! I can't wait to hear about your ultrasound!

I called and scheduled my first ultrasound appointment for June 3 at 2PM. I will be 6 weeks by then so hopefully I will be able to see a heartbeat. I am a little worried the OB may agree with you all and think there might be two in there. Normally they don't do the first ultrasound until 9-10 weeks, but he wanted to do mine much sooner (I could have even scheduled it for the end of next week, but Tuesday worked out better.)

It might be that he thinks there are two, or it might be that alot of OB's are starting to watch ladies who have been TTC for a while closer when they do finally get their BFP. I want to let you know something I've noticed happening alot though. There is a good chance they will see the heartbeat then, but I've seen A LOT of girls who are stressing out because they aren't finding a heartbeat at 6 weeks, and they start mourning already thinking they are going to lose the baby for sure. Then a week or two later they go back and every thing is fine.

Just remember not to panic if they don't see a heartbeat at that first ultrasound. And make sure you ask for pictures! I can't wait to see them! Good luck!
