This was the 15th!
First we had a prenatal at 9am. I put on 2 pounds, and my sugars were great. They said I was doing so well they would let me wait 3 weeks before coming back!! My doctor is going on vacation so I am glad, I should only have to see the covering doctor once. Eddy learned how to do the progesterone shots, LMAO hope he payed attention those needles are huge. On the way out we stopped in the hospital hallway to take a belly photo.
Then we grabbed a quick lunch at Wendy's and headed off to the prenatal diagnostic center for our level 2 ultrasound. While registering Alex told the receptionist all about the two babies. He feels it is very important to stress to everyone that it is 2 Babies and not one, LOL. But he didn't feel she got his point I guess, because he drew a photo and counted them for her, two babies. he says "It is two boys, see the girl is the angry one" LMAO I don't quite get it, maybe she is angry because she is supposed to be a boy, but he drew a girl, if i could spend one day in his head.... But anyhow I love it so much I put it in my pregnancy journal, he said I could keep it.
So then we went in for the actual ultrasound. The tech did her stuff first, which took ages, I hate the techs that do that, I like it when they turn the screen so you can watch while they work. So then she did turn it and showed us the babies, Alex was very excited and kept counting two babies. They are both side by side butt down now. But I am not worried about breech babies I will be having a c section anyhow. One time she showed right at the top of thier heads, and they were both moving and turning thier heads, it was totally awesome, she printed a picture I was so happy about that, LOL. I love the tops of thier heads shot, seeing them at the same time makes it more real I guess. The rest of the photos she printed rot though, you can barely tell they are babies. So then she said they can't tell the gender because they are both breech. I wanted to cry, i had been waiting so i could start buying stuff. Then she left and said the doctor would review it and come in to do any extra shots he wants and answer our questions.
He came in and said everything looked great so far. He had a list of extra shots he wanted. I told him I was upset about the gender and asked if he could try again. he said absolutely, he would do his best. He was awesome, he did let us watch while he worked which is so much nicer, and he only had some trouble with a couple of the heart shots, but he said since we are dong the fetal echo in two weeks he woldn't fuss over it. Then he tried for gender, which didn't seem to tough to me, kinda made me feel like the tech didn't even try.
First he says "
baby A looks like girl!" And I pointed to Eddy and said "I knew it" He is a girl maker. Alex said "you can have that one, 2 baby is a boy he is mine" That made us all laugh and I got a bit teary, darned hormones. So then the doctor did more shots of baby B and that took a while. Finally he went to see the gender of baby B, and I could tell right away! But I kept quiet to see what the professional says. he freezes it and says "Can you tell what this baby is?" Eddy said no, but I said "I see boy parts!" He said
yup, that is definitley a boy.
So Boy/Girl!! I am off the wall, it was a great day. we visited my sister and told that household, but I still gotta spread the news today. We will get confirmation a the ultrasound in two weeks and then I can do some real shopping. here are the 3 best ultrasound photos.
